I have it recorded and will watch it when I get a free slot in between the Olympics :) I'm not overly keen on Starkey's style but his programmes subject matter is usually interesting.

I love the way you've managed to get a reference to Ballet Shoes into a post about Churchill and Starkey! I'm not at all convinced by the fashion for showing bits of old films to add...what, a sense of history?...but it doesn't irritate me quite as much as my other bugbear: music from the wrong period. I'm very boring to watch history programmes with, I gather!

Ha ha! While I was watching one of those old clips, the line, 'Mine is a lonely road, little sister,' came into my head and I just knew it was the same sort of film. I'm quite likely to shout at the TV during certain history programmes. We have to relieve our feelings somehow.
