Conspiracies against the public

I have spent ages writing up listings for eBay. As these items are going in my shop, I had to bear in mind that they will probably sell after Royal Mail's new charges come in on August 21st. Working out the prices, I was shocked to find what a difference this will make to posting a standard-sized paperback. When you add to that eBay's new 10% Final ( Read more... )

Love the picture!

I've just worked out that it will be more expensive to post two paperbacks in one envelope than it will be to post them separately, even taking into account the jiffy bags. So I'm going to have to go through all my 200+ listings and take out the automatic postage discount, add a note explaining that I can't give discounts, and adjust the postage as necessary. I am Not Pleased about this, it's going to take several hours. I suppose that I can use the opportunity to do a stock check, and adjust prices as necessary, but even so I can think of better ways to spend a day. Or two.

That is just ridiculous but no one has a good word to say for this new system. I feel sorry for the PO staff who will have to work it all out, with everyone complaining.

From wee sis - I'm cross because an A6 decoupaged card will not fit through the 5mm slot even though it is half the smallest size. This will add considerably to the cost of posting for Christmas - as if it wasn't enough already. Too late to change, I've already made a third of my cards.

Waves!
That's really annoying, especially as you must have already bought a lot of pre-cut card?
