So very glad you're on the mend! Lots of interesting books. I have just finished A Winter's Tale - chosen on the strength of your review and found it a very fast, very pleasant read. Must look out for the D E Stevenson now too!

Glad you're feeling better. Love that cover. Nice selection of books that you've read. I must try Lorna Hill. I've just abandoned A S Byatt's Possession and I refuse to feel guilty! Nicola@VintageReads

Thank you!
I do think you enjoy Lorna Hill more if you've read her as a child. There are several series with connecting characters; lots of ponies, lots of dominating male characters. The dance series are the Wells books and the Annette books. When I was clearing out I got rid of all except the Wells series because I'm fond of them and they're pretty. I put some pictures up a while ago here.

Thank you and I hope you're still improving.

She is! Cosy murder is just the thing. I do recommend those Dandy Gilver books, too and I even enjoy Agatha Raisin when I don't feel like much else.

I am glad you are feeling a bit better.

I have never read any books by Patricia Wentworth, though we have plenty on the van. I know what to choose next!

Thank you!

I do find the Miss Silver books variable; some are much better than others. I'm surprised you have them on the van as there are none in our library!

I thought you hadn't been around but got out of the LJ loop for a week or so, so wasn't sure where you were. Glad you are on the mend now.
