holy flippin' hell. out of all the post CoE explanation type fics, I think yours covers ALL of it! Jack afterwords, why the Doctor didn't intervene, all of that. this was lovely.

Thank you :) I really needed to jot down an idea as to why the Doctor wouldn't help because, I'm sorry, no matter how pissed at humanity he may be he would NEVER allow millions of kids to be taken for drug use! So this came out of that *nods*

oh wow. Really interesting idea, love how you ran with it. Poor Jack, poor Doctor. So broken and yet so loved. I like how you differentiate between Jack's love of the Doctor and Jack's love of Ianto.

It needed to be, I didn't want Jack to think he only loved Ianto because some part of him knew he was the Doctor. He loved Ianto because he was Ianto.

Your second author's note made me think of this icon, so I had to use it. :D

That fic was brilliant! It made my head hurt a little when trying to think of the logistics, but Doctor Who time travel has always done that to me, lol. I really like this explanation, especially as to why the Doctor wasn't there. You would think something like this would have alerted him. But whatever.

Wibbly Wobbly, Timey Wimey! It gives you migraines lol! The Doctor, if he is the new messiah that RTD claims he is, would have appeared, end of. So why he didn't I'll never know.

That is just... wow. It covers all the bases and really hits home. A brilliantly innovative explanation and some beautiful momento imagery. May have to go listen to Hard Candy by the Counting Crows now, it fits well with the box scene.

You know, I actually went into this intending it to be a fix it with a happy ending...but DoctorIanto high-jacked it and made us sad instead. But thank you for commenting, I'd glad you liked it :D
