Thoughts on Writing a Novel

I feel like I've written thousands and thousands of words since I last posted a word count. My plot has advanced, my characters have taken life and I've built a new world to explore ( Read more... )

"Professional" novelists have more practice as writers, and they have more life experiences to draw from. They also write novels of varying length and take months and years to finish them.

Plus, I don't know about you, but sometimes I write things that disgust me but end up impressing me later after I take some time away.

You'll do fine. You should be happy with how much effort you're putting into this, and experiences like NaNoWriMo are going to make you an even better writer (Your stuff is pretty darn good as it is).
