I was in ;ajdfsdjnbcou panic until it was pointed out that the Doctor meets River Song sometime in the future, and she recognised him in his current form.

I loved the snatches of Ianto and Gwen. Makes me wonder if I should watch Torchwood.

Yeah, my panic has pretty well calmed down now, since noting would make sense other than him staying in his current form. But wow, I had some pretty significant panic. :-)

Ianto and Gwen are absolutely awesome...Torchwood has incredibly lovable characters but is not what I would call an objectively good show. It's really fun to watch (especially if you like aliens and big explosions), and you really do fall in love with all the characters. But it does get kind of silly sometimes.
