(Algy was up the tree, that is. Or possibly Ginger. We couldn't remember. But presumably not the squid.) But I couldn't lay hands on that one immediately

This is the squid one I remember, anyway. :D I really, really want to know why WE Johns thought giant squid were in the habit of hauling themselves out of the water to attack people hiding on islets...

As pearbean points out, 'trouble with an octopus' sounds horrendously like a euphemism. Though so does 'bringing home jelly in your pocket' to her, so we perhaps should take her comments with a pinch of salt.

In Oxford, studenting away quietly ^_^ (It was amusing me terribly a couple of days back on the comm, when 90% of people there were at / had attended Oxford. Because Oxford students have nothing better to do with their time than write pilot slash, clearly. And if that isn't a good advert for the university, I don't know what is.)
