I heard him skittering about the night before last during the night, and last night I enlisted my landlord/friend to come "help me" catch him. (He apparently needed a flashlight to see anything even though the room was fully lit, and I- and I imagine the rat, couldn't see WITH it, so that was kind of a connunudrum...) My landlord and I both stunk

whatevr you do, don't use glue traps. ever. they say humane, but the animals they catch have to be killed. cage trap = okay, and possibly best bet.

I got four of those humane catch-and-release traps, with the little spring-levers that go down when the li'l guy steps on them, making the doors on either side come down. I hope they're large enough for my little one, and that I've put them in the right places. I think I heard skittering in the ceiling last night.. and if he's found a way to get inside the walls.. well.. unless the traps work REALLY well... ... I just hope he's all right...
