This is a great story. I loved how Merlin was devoted to Arthur, even if he was no longer the prince.

Thank you very much! I'm flattered by your comment that there's a broad spectrum of emotion. I actually surprised by how dark this turned out. I only actually realised when I looked through the plan and saw how many times I wrote 'Merlin kills him/her/them'.

Thank you! There was originally happy ending, where Merlin kills Morgana and makes Arthur king, but that proved impossible due to some dialogue choices earlier on. And I like this ending better. It's got more depth.

Yeah, I really like this ending - because Merlin, even untrained and mainly uncontrolled, IS strong enough to do such a thing, and WOULD do it for Arthur, regardless of the cost to anyone else.

This totally filled a whole bunch of plot kinks of mine - role reversals/replacements, time-travel, and also devoted!Merlin-who-is-not-angsty.

I loved this a lot. It made me smile. The way you constructed the alternate world was pretty darn genius; Morgana was full of win, even if she was scary.

I glad you liked it! I just adored the prompt as soon as I saw it (and stored it away for millennia before writing it).

Evil!Morgana is by far my favourite character because she kicks serious ass. The universe? Uh, hazily constructed, I thought. Did you notice the complete absence of the dragon and lack of explanation thereof?
