One Week Series 1/?

Title: Inappropriate Acts of Kindness in The Workplace

Pairings: Callie/Addison

Rating: PG 13 (shocked it’s not NC 17? Me too! But wait for it)

Summary: girls like to flirt!

So they flirted a lot lately. The truth is they should hate each other. I would have been easier. But the truth was, it seemed like too much work to have yet another enemy in Seattle Grace. And flirting just came naturally to the both of them; why not exercise one’s talents?

“Knock-knock.”

Addison beamed, leaning against the doorframe of room 209. Callie looked up from her patient’s chart; a forty-five year old woman that laid sleeping on the bed in front if her.

“Hey.”

Callie greeted in return, tucking the chart under her arm, watching with a smile as the redhead stepped inside, jacket and purse in arm. She bounced a little as she walked towards her, shortly acknowledging the bedded patient.

“What are you doing?”

Callie chuckled and raised a bemused eyebrow.

“You know how sometimes we cut people open, play with their insides and then we sew them up? This part, is called Pre. Op. You’re a big girl, you’ve done this before.”

“I love you all sarcastic and vocally sadistic. It’s sexy. It distracts me. But, no, hey-“

She playfully hit Callie’s arm for emphasis.

“-have lunch with me. I have a surprise.”

Callie frowned, noticing Addison’s street attire.

“You going out for lunch?”

“No. No, I just like to look nice for you.”

“Satire does not become you. It distracts me.”

She took a step back, setting the chart down and crossing her arms.

“Where exactly are you planning on taking me?”

“It’s a surprise. Come on. Go get out your scrubs. I’ll hold your white coat.”

She held back a grin.

Neither of them would admit it just then but, Addison Montgomery and Callie Torres had just experienced their first inappropriate exchange of innuendo-in the presence of a patient-noted the patient was unconscious, but the little exchange of dialogue was enough to ignite the foreshadowing of some explicit and vulgar private thoughts between the two, yet it was innocent enough to let slide.

“I can’t go today. I have a bunch of stuff to do.”

Addison rolled her eyes.

“Come on! Do it later.”

“I can’t. I’ve got time for like a fifteen minute break then I want to finish all this so I don’t have to stay past six.”

Addison sighed heavily and frowned.

“Fine. I’ll eat with you. I will eat hospital food with you.”

“You don’t have to.”

Callie said, laughing.

“No. I do because the other day that you were talking about that Cuban restaurant in your home town, I started to crave it and went all over the place, in the rain mind you, looking and looking. And guess what? I found the same restaurant. Well, not the same one, obviously, but by the same name, same food and stuff so I was going to treat you to lunch but-whatever...patients DO come first I guess.

Callie stared, amazed at Addison’s actions.

“Are you serious?”

“Yeah, I’m serious.”

“Wow.”

“Wow? That’s all I get?”

“Oh, I’m sorry. What do you think would be an appropriate thanks.”

“Well, I don’t know about appropriate, but an ‘I’ll meet you in the shower’ would have been nice.”

Callie laughed again and Addison laughed with her, only half kidding.

“You’re cheeky today, Addison. You want to do dinner instead?”

“Yeah. Can we go eat now though? I’m about to lapse into a hyperglycemic doma.”

Xxxxx

Short but sweet I thought J
