I think it is a great idea if it hasn't been done already. There are so many great authors who write stories about Calzona and they are so well talented at capturing the characters and creating different storylines. I got a long list of favorites :)

that is an awesome idea! of course all ppl are different and they have different tastes. but I have not so many fav stories. and even less fav authors. Maybe those who were back then in 2010-ish. (now I sound like an old lady... but what so ever).
I know it's going to be really hard to choose. But I'm on for it! Let's do it!!)))
maybe we could categorize by date as well. dunno)))

Obviously, this is just my opinion, but as a writer, I think this is a terrible idea.

A lot of these award things just become popularity contests and may end up alienating people and making some good writers decide not to write anymore.

ah. maybe you are right! i guess ... (as a reader) I admire some writers. but as a person (who are not that talented to write anything worth reading) I think it's not that good idea.

ppl writing fanfiction probably not for an awards. they kind of want some respect. I guess... I would... but they have their followers.

I just got excited, cause there are lots of talented ppl. so, having the second thought... you are right!

I second this completely. While I like the idea of recognition enough, the truth is that the material will matter little compared to the popularity of the author(s).

I know!! I'm new to this fandom and it's so strange to see so many people so for or against one of the couple, rather than supporting the couple as a whole. Not sure I came across this kinda thing before. lol

As a reader, I love this idea. Discovered some great fics and authors for other fandoms by happening across these award things.

What if it was something like you asked which writers would like to participate and maybe gave everyone an award? Is that too kumbaya of me? I guess the problem there would be who decides that. Maybe we could vote? I like the idea of this but I think se great writers may get lost in the shuffle, so I think everyone should have a chance to be recognized.
