1. Excellent breakdown of the 3 prong (as in something that can cause excruciating pain--hee) mini arc. I have to say I'm very glad Allan Heinberg is no longer on the show. The medicals and the personals in this episode were far too blah or obvious or stagnate and the characterizations painted with such a broad brush. Example, Gina's husband. I know the purpose was to hit Callie over the head with Vacant Womb Saga but I couldn't have possibly been more annoyed by his worrying about babies as his wife struggles to survive. It was, um, icky. The husband was mere plot with no distinct voice so I felt nothing during those scenes. Absolutely no emotional response beyond annoyance.
and have surmised her Latino and Catholic upbringing would foster a family vision in which kids were an absolute given...This really was so accurate. I never thought of WHY I knew Callie always wanted kids and never doubted it. That really, really makes sense.
I'm sorry you have such an aversion to the way that Mark acts towards Callie. I think the familiarity is endearing at times, but I know many others agree with you and feel that he has crossed a line. I guess it matters where your own line is as to how inappropriate you feel his actions come across.
I have NO IDEA what was behind the bun/towel contrast in that last scene. Not sure if there was a hidden meaning. All I could think is that Callie was supposedly "relaxing", and her attire just didn't seem to fit.
Thank you so much for listening. Your commentary is awesome!
The fact that Arizona and Teddy's relationship is not reciprocal by now actually kind of bugs me a lot more now that I think of it. Why the hell aren't they talking about Arizona's issues too? Another conversation between them would have been nice. Agreed.
If the pigtails are working for you, then by all means, you should work them ;)
I think Dars convinced me in talking about it that Callie COULD have a baby and keep her career on track at the same time. She's right, it's not trauma surgery, it seems like ortho would give her a better opportunity. I mean, what's the point of having that pound cake if you can't eat it too?
I am totally on board with loving the Callie/Bailey scenes. I kind of want one in like every episode, but then they might start to be forced and suck...so maybe not. But I dig!
That is a good fav scene you picked. I would have picked it myself, except I had enough of the drama.

I don't think that Cristina had a hysterectomy. I think she just had a D&C, so she should still be able to have kids.
I think in life it all depends on who you are as a person AND the situation you are in as to if you want kids or not. Some people just KNOW. Some people defer to a partner's decision. Some people want them, but want to wait until they achieve a certain amount of things first. It all depends.
Good dessert ideas! Tiramisu was my favorite to begin with. I think I like it even more now! :)
Just went back and checked. Cristina had an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in the loss of one of her left fallopian tube. So pregnancy would be an option.
Based on the unanswered question from Owen in this episode - not sure where that leaves things -- but Cristina certainly didn't seem interested in kids -- I say didn't because everyone is to be reborn in season 7 - if Shonda's statements are accurate.

Did I ever tell you I went as a cherry pie for Halloween one year? No joke.
Mrs. E went as a pie eating contest champ...
