Callie sat in the living room with Arizona. She was annoyed with her wife at the moment. Arizona decided to throw a Halloween party, much to Callie's desire. Callie normally loved Halloween, but being pregnant this year made her miserable. She was due around Thanksgiving, leaving her feeling defeated with Halloween costumes and being comfortable.

“How about you just wear a pair of sweat pants and I can buy you one of those really cute shirts with the skeleton and baby prints on it? You are in ortho, so it's also perfect for that.” Arizona suggested.

“No,” Callie replied. “That's not a costume and kind of stupid.”

“Really? I thought it was genius. How about another shirt? I can make you something else. We could find some really cute ideas. Oh, how about we make one up to look like a globe?”

Callie sighed. “No. That's even worse. I don't want to look fat. Globes are fat and not cute. And don't suggest a pumpkin next for the same reason.”

Arizona rolled her eyes. “Okay, what is wrong? I thought having a Halloween party would be fun before our next baby arrives. This is probably going to be the last time for awhile to hang out with our friends. I'm sure Thanksgiving will be out because either you'll be sulking for feeling fat or we'll have a newborn. So, just tell me why you are being a grump.”

“It's really embarrassing,” Callie looked down at her pregnant stomach. She was excited to be having another child with Arizona, but she was in pain a lot, Her back hurt and her feet were swollen. For that reason, she was glad Meredith and Derek invited Sofia to go trick or treating with their kids, Zola and Derek. But, at the same time, she was disappointed with missing the fun. Sofia was four now and seeing her have fun made Callie extremely happy. Now she was worried that Sofia would get upset with not having her go trick or treating.

“What's embarrassing?” Arizona asked, bringing Callie back to their living room. She was in deep thought and almost forgot what brought her to that.

“I don't feel sexy. You will look amazing at our party and I have to look like a big blob in something stupid. My back also hurts all the time. And my feet are swollen. I don't think I will be much fun at our party. And I also am worrying about Sofia being upset that Meredith and Derek having to take her trick or treating. I am exhausted and feel bad about that.

“Is that all?” Arizona pulled one of Callie's feet into her lap and started to massage it. “Why didn't you speak up?”

“I know I haven't been the greatest person to be around recently with the hormones. I'm surprised you and Sofia are putting up with me.”

“We're your family, that's what we do. And you're pregnant. You are allowed to be a little crazy sometimes. But, you should have told me you were uncomfortable and in pain. I would be more than happy to give you a massage.”

“And what about Sofia?” Callie asked. “I want to make sure she isn't feeling left out right now.”

“Honestly, I think Sofia will be excited. The last time I went to pick her up from a play date with Zola, they tried to hide in Zola's closet, thinking we would think they got lost and not bother to look in there.”

Callie laughed. “You never told me that story. Where was I?”

“I think you were exhausted, so you were taking a nap here. I guess I forgot after you woke up.”

“That must be it. Oh great, now we have to worry about those two running off on Meredith,” Callie groaned.

“It will be fine. Derek is also going along. Besides, Sofia knows she will be punished if she misbehaves.”

“That's true. She hates going on timeout or getting simple dessert taken away when she acts up.”

“So, do you want to talk about costumes now?” Arizona asked, hoping to not start another war about the topic.”

“Sure,” Callie replied. “I need a costume that will be comfortable, but also nice and won't make me look stupid.”

“I'm sure we can come up with something,” Arizona replied took Callie's other foot to massage it.

As the couple sat and enjoyed each others company, Sofia came into the living room wearing her Halloween costume.

“Oh Sof, be careful,” Callie worried about it getting messed up. The four-year-old was dressed up as Sofia from her favorite cartoon, Sofia The First.

“Don't worry mommy. I'm just practicing for Halloween. I need to get used to walking around in it for when I go trick or treating.”

Arizona smiled at her daughter's logic. Then she got an idea.

“Hey Sofia. Mommy still needs a costume idea for the party we're having. What do you think she should be?”

Sofia paused and thought for a moment. Her mothers waited in anticipation for what she would say.

“Well, mommy has been mean lately since she's got a baby in her tummy. So, how about Oscar the Grouch or The Grinch? Or to hide her tummy she can be Shrek because he's fat.”

Callie was not amused. She couldn't help her hormones. She didn't think she was that horrible to Sofia. But, her daughter's costume suggestions were horrible, so she cried.

“Sofia!” Arizona gasped at what her daughter said. “You go to your room now and think about what you said. That wasn't very nice. Maybe I shouldn't let you go out trick or treating now.”

Sofia knew she was in trouble. “No Mama! I'll be good.” The toddler went to her room sulking. Arizona looked at her wife crying. She put her arm around her shoulder to comfort her.

“It's okay,” Arizona calmly told Callie while rubbing her back.

“No, it's not. If my daughter thinks I should be a green grumpy character for Halloween, she's probably right. I'll ruin our party for sure.”

“No you won't. We just need to come up with an idea that you will like. I may not be pregnant or know what it feels like, but I know you are feeling self conscious and are in pain.”

“And horny,” Callie said very quietly, hoping that Arizona may have heard her.

“What was that?” Arizona asked.

“I said that I'm horny,” Callie folder her arms and frowned. “I know that it's the hormones talking, but I just feel like I want to have sex with you everyday and probably most of the day.”

“We tried a couple of times. But you felt to fat for it. And you worried about crushing me or the baby. That is your fault, Calliope.”

“You could have tried harder,” Callie whispered in Arizona's ear. She touched her back in the way she knew would turn Arizona on. Callie thought it was working. Until Arizona stood up.

“No, we can't do it here or now. Remember, Sofia is here. We don't need to have her come out and ask us questions. She's only four.”

“You're no fun,” Callie huffed. “Maybe you should be The Grinch for Halloween.”

“Hey, just for that, I should get you a trash can and a green shirt to be Oscar the Grouch.”

“At least he's funny,” Callie retorted. She smiled at Arizona though, just to let her know she was joking. Sort of. Arizona went to the computer desk to work on her computer again to try and figure out Halloween costumes. Callie decided to turn on her favorite show on Netflix, which was Orange is the New Black. She had seen ever single episode already, but she was bored and decided to watch them again.

“Too bad we can't be Piper and Alex because I'm pregnant,” Callie said out loud to Arizona.

“Yeah, that would be cool,” Arizona responded. She liked the show like Callie, but she was not as familiar with it as her wife.

Callie continued to watch. Arizona kept working on her computer and looked up at the tv every once in awhile and at her wife. She smiled when she realized Callie was happy at the moment.

“You know what's funny?” Callie broke the silence in the room.

“What?”

“We're kind of like Daya and Bennett from this show. Except we are happily married and are not in jail for drugs or anything.”

“How are we like them?” Arizona wanted to know.

“Well, Bennett is a correctional officer at the jail. You are head of pediatrics at the hospital.”

“Okay.” Arizona was not sure where Callie was going with this.

“Well, Bennett met Daya in the jail and they started hanging out together a lot. They even slept together and Daya got pregnant in jail. But, she has to keep it a secret because their relationship is not allowed. Oh yeah, and Bennett also has a prosthetic leg like you.”

“That's it!” Arizona practically yelled.

“What's it?” Callie got confused.

“Our Halloween costumes, silly. You can be Daya and I will be Bennett.”

“But, you're a woman.” Callie pointed out. “Are you okay with that?”

:”Why not? It's just Halloween and kind of funny. It's also the best idea I've had so far. Unless you have an issue with being a pregnant prison inmate for Halloween. It isn't exactly glamorous.”

“No. Those prison uniforms actually look really comfortable. We probably could just buy a pair of scrubs in orange or tan. And you could get fake cop stuff like those trick handcuffs. And we can use those in the bedroom afterward.”

“Really?"

Callie nodded with a huge smile on her face.

“But, what about you? I want this badly too, but I don't want you to just do it to please me, if you don't feel comfortable.”

“Oh, I'm sure I can be comfortable that night,” Callie gave Arizona a seductive glare. She wanted to get up. But it was too difficult at the moment.

“Okay,” Arizona responded, with almost a loss of words. “I will go out later to get our costumes then. I have some pants and a blue shirt. I'll just some accessories. Oh, and I will bring my Grey Sloan jacket home too. It will work. Do you think we still have those horrible orange scrubs that the Mercy West people had to wear when they first came to our hospital during the merger? I'll look anyway. This is going to be the best Halloween ever.”

Two days later, it was Halloween and Callie and Arizona's party was underway. They decided to keep it tame as Meredith and Derek were coming back with the kids around 8pm, and Callie knew getting Sofia in bed would be a battle if they were having a party.

Callie sat on the couch and looked at her wife and friends having a great time. Currently, Arizona was doing some sort of stupid dance with April and Stephanie. Callie wished she were up with them, but dancing was not fun for her at the moment. But, it was fun to watch Arizona. That was until Callie had to get up to use the restroom and found herself unable to get herself up. She groaned in frustration.

“I'll help you,” Cristina, wearing a witch costume, offered Callie her hand. “But first you have to tell me why Arizona is dressed up as a man and you look like you couldn't be bothered to dress up. I mean, what was the point in getting a new pair of scrubs when you could have just worn your own.”

“I am dressed up,” Callie said. “Now let me up before I pee all over this couch and I make you sit in it.”

“Okay, fine. why is your wife dressed up like a male cop then and what are you?”

“We're Daya and Bennett from Orange Is the New Black. Don't you watch that show?”

Cristina looked at her friend and started laughing. “You mean she's the correctional officer and you're a prison inmate that got knocked up?”

“Yeah. It was the only idea we could agree on that I didn't feel stupid wearing.”

“Well, now that I know you two are a legitimate pair, I don't have to make fun of you anymore.”

“Geez, thanks.” Callie walked to the bathroom while rolling her eyes at her friend.

A little time went by and Arizona realized Callie was not sitting anymore. She glanced over the room to see if Callie was anywhere. When she didn't see her, she went into the kitchen to see if she was in there. When she didn't see her wife in there, she was about to walk back into the living room when she heard a noise. She glanced around until she realized it was coming from the bathroom and the door was opened a little. Not sure of what was inside, Arizona cautiously knocked on the door.

“Who is it?” A voice called out.

“It's me, Arizona.”

“Oh good. You can come right in.”

Arizona walked in and saw her wife on the toilet looking really frustrated and embarrassed. “Are you okay?”

“Oh yeah,” Callie huffed out. “I sat down to pee and then couldn't get back up again. I didn't close the bathroom door all the way in case that happened. But, nobody heard me over the music in there and of course nobody came to the kitchen until I heard you walk in. And don't laugh, it isn't funny.”

It was too late. Arizona was laughing a little. She felt bad for her wife, but the situation was a little funny.

“Please don't tell anyone,” Callie begged. “It's already bad enough that Cristina thought I was being lazy with my costume. I don't need to whole hospital to know that I got stuck on the toilet at my own party.”

“Okay, relax.” Arizona took Callie's hand's and helped her get up. The impact of Callie trying to get up made Arizona trip and fall to the floor.

“Oh, sorry,” Callie was even more embarrassed about the situation now as she quickly pulled up her pants.

“It's okay. I'm fine,” Arizona got up and brushed herself off.

“You're hot,” Callie got closer to Arizona and gave her a kiss. Arizona liked the contact with her wife, so she reciprocated. The two of them stayed in the bathroom making out Callie wanted to go further, so she tried to kick the door closed, but was too late.

“Mommy! Who is that man you're kissing!” Sofia yelled. She had not seen the couple dressed up before she went out, so the little girl didn't know. She hit Arizona with her Halloween bag.

“Bad man! Get off my mommy! My mama is in the other room and she'll get you,” She whacked her mom again.

“Ow! Sofia! Stop! It's me!” Arizona finally got her words out.

“Mama? Why are you dressed up like a man?”

“You know how Mommy has a favorite show about the prison she likes to watch? Well, we're dressed up like a couple from that show,” Arizona explained.

“So, you had to dress up like a man and that's okay?” Sofia was unsure.

“Yep,” Callie replied. “It's Halloween, so anyone can wear whatever they want. I mean, you are Sofia and you are dressed up like another Sofia.”

“So, next year could I be Oscar the Grouch?”

“You can be whatever you want. Within reason,” Arizona told her daughter.

“Okay. Now excuse me mommy and mama. I have to pee,” the four-year-old shooed her mothers out of the bathroom. Callie and Arizona stood in the kitchen for a moment.

“That kid hits hard,” Arizona exclaimed, while rubbing her butt, which Sofia his really hard.

“Yeah, it's our fault though. We should have closed the door or not started that.”

“Or better yet, we should have told our daughter of our costumes so something like that doesn't happen again.”

“True. Are you okay?” Callie asked.

“I think so. I just hope nobody else knows about this. I think I might have some bruises now too.”

“You want me to make them feel better?” Callie whispered in Arizona's ear, hoping to just go into their room and leave the rest of their party. Arizona got chills down her back.

“Not now. We can't with everyone in the house. And let's make sure Sofia is in bed and our door is locked first.”

“You're no fun,” Callie teased and went back into the living room. Arizona followed right behind her.

Later that night after all of their friends went home and Sofia was in bed, Callie lay in bed waiting for Arizona. She still couldn't believe what happened that night. She was glad nobody found out about the bathroom incident. But now Callie was wondering what was taking Arizona so long in the bathroom. She thought about getting up to check on her, but she knew getting up was going to be a problem.

Callie did not have to wait long though. Clad just in her police officer shirt and her underwear and the wig, Arizona stepped out of the bathroom.

“You are under arrest and now I need to punish you,” she said in a sexy voice to Callie. She took out the fake handcuffs and was about to put them on Callie when Callie started laughing.

“As much as I like this, Arizona, I can't take you seriously in that wig. Take it off.”

“Seriously? That's what you are worried about?”

“Well, it is silly. And we also might get too hot and sweaty, so you might not want it on anymore,” Callie told her as she unbuttoned a couple of buttons from Arizona's shirt.

She had a point. Arizona took the wig off and tossed it on the floor. A few minutes later her shirt and Callie's pants ended up there as well.
