*******8PM***********
Callie pulled her car into the driveway of the address Mark had given her. As expected, Arizona's SUV was parked alongside her. She draped her arms over the top of the steering wheel and leaned forward, trying to gain her bearings. After a few minutes, she recognized the house as being one she adored. Yeah, Meredith's house was just around the block. She stared at the house in front of her. Two story, brick Victorian, porch that wrapped halfway around the house, a second story balcony, a porch swing facing the side yard, an inground pool in the back. Callie sighed as she easily pictured living here with Arizona, raising Sofia and maybe a little boy with Arizona's eyes and pale hair. A tap on the drivers' side window yanked Callie from her daydream. She rolled down her window to hear Arizona's voice.

"It's even prettier inside if you'd like to come join me." She opened the car door for her girlfriend. "I would ask how you knew I was here, but trust Sloan not to be able to keep a secret." Callie climbed out of the car and grasped Arizona's hand. Together they walked through the front door into a spacious foyer with hardwood floors. The staircase stood off to their left.

"Oh my God, this place is AMAZING!" Callie whispered in wonder.

Arizona's dimples glowed with anticipation. "Come. I'll give you the tour and tell you what I see." She pointed to doorway on the other side of the staircase. "That's a small room. It could be our office-slash-library. I think whoever lived here before might have been a doctor because it has built in shelving, which means..."

"No falling bookcases."

"Right. No falling bookcases." She pulled Callie through the archway on their right. "I think this would be our family room or living room or parlor...whatever you wanna call it, it's all the same. Right there, in front of that big bay window, I can see a massive fir all decked out at Christmas." She did a slow twirl, then pointed at the wall. "There's even a fireplace to...ahem...sit in front of all prim and proper while sitting in on opposite ends of the couch knitting ugly sweaters." She snorted as she stifled a chuckle.

"You mean, fuck like bunnies."

"Well...ahem...duh!" She kissed Callie chastely on the lips and pulled her through another archway. "This is the dining room. Through those sliding French doors is the porch swing." A breakfast bar separated the dining room from the kitchen.

Callie moved past Arizona to enter the kitchen. "Check out these countertops. And all the steel in here! It's like a Lowe's display!" So engrossed was she in checking out the state of the art appliances that she missed Dr. Beaver-Swan sitting on the countertop of the breakfast bar.

"I knew you'd love that. Upstairs has four bedrooms, a master bath plus a regular bath. There is one thing I simply must show you though." She led Callie to a door in the corner of the kitchen.

The brunette balked. "You know this is how horror movies always start out, right?"

Arizona raised her eyebrows. "Trust me, Calliope. You'll love it." She flipped a couple of light switches. "I'll even stay up here while you check it out." Callie looked at her girlfriend as though she'd lost her mind and started down the stairs. "And five...four...three...two..."

"EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!"

Arizona grinned. "There it is." The rumble of footsteps on the stairs was heard and Callie stopped halfway up. "You like?"

"Seriously? I get my cave?" The blonde nodded. Callie rushed further up the stairs and pressed her lips tightly to Arizona's "God, I love you."

"Love you too and yes, if we buy it, you get your cave."

Callie's eyebrows drew together. "IF we buy?"

Arizona smiled and nodded. "It seems Dr. Beaver-Swan is here and ready to make a bid." She directed her lover to the stuffed animal.

The ortho surgeon walked over to the stuffed animal and stopped short. Resting atop a note "from the desk of Arizona Robbins" was a black ringbox with the lip open to reveal a princess cut diamond flanked with alternating sapphires and rubies set in a platinum band. Callie covered her mouth with her right hand, tears creeping down her cheeks.

Arizona quoted the note from memory. "Between Derek Shepherd and Meredith Grey, every sappy, over-the-top romantic gesture of proclaiming one's love has already been done. So with the post-it marriage in mind as I write this, I give you the personal ad prescription proposal." Callie chuckled as she wiped the tears from her cheeks and faced the love of her life. "A perky, type A personality, perfectionist, know-it-all, pretty, pediatric surgeon swan is looking for a tempermental, insanely jealous, strong willed, definitely not tyrannical, loving Latina, ortho surgeon beaver to spend forever together. If interested, take this ring as a sign of our betrothal and simply say yes."

Callie's broad smile nearly matched Arizona's in intensity. "Yes. Now come put this ring on my finger like a proper fiancee." Arizona crossed the kitchen to stand in front of her. With shaking hands she lifted the ring from it's velvet bed and placed it on it's new home on Callie's left hand. She pressed a soft kiss to her knuckle before properly kissing her new fiancee. When they finally parted for air, the brunette asked "Does this mean we're buying the house?"

"Most definitely. Come on, that gazebo in the back yard just screams backyard wedding." They kissed again, this time with more passion. As hands started wandering and Callie was lifted onto the kitchen counter, Arizona was confident in the knowledge she was most definitely NOT a nothing. She was everything to Callie and their daughter and no one would ever take that away from her.

**********LATER THAT WEEK**********
"Mmmmmm godddd, Arizona....don't stop...I mean...please stop. This wasn't why...oh god...I pulled you in here." Callie moaned loudly from her position against the on call room door.

Arizona lifted her head from Callie's chest. "Well which is it?" she asked with a smirk. She started sucking along her fiancee's pulse point and teasingly toyed with the waistband of the woman's navy scrub pants.

"God, I can't think when you're doing that." Callie struggled to breathe, to think through the haze of her arousal.

"Kinda the point, Calliope." She slid her hand over one of the dark breasts before her, toying with the nipple. "Have I ever told you how awesome your breasts are?"

"God, yesssss." Callie shook her head. "Wait! Dammit!" She pulled Arizona's head up to meet hers in a fiery kiss. "God, as much as I want you...want to do this I need to talk to you so I need you to quit touching me for five seconds so I can spit it out and then we can finish this."

Arizona inhaled deeply, held it and slowly exhaled as she took a step backward. "Five seconds and I won't be held responsible for what ever happens at second six."

"Meredith and Derek are getting married." Callie blurted.

Arizona cocked her head to the side. "Like married married? What happened to the post-it being good enough?"

"They want to adopt an African baby and their marriage has to be legally recognized. They're having a small get together at their place tomorrow night."

The perky blonde smiled. "Guess weddings are in the air, huh."

Callie pulled her closer. "Yeah. Looks like it." She pressed a soft, chaste kiss to her lover's lips. "So you gonna be my date for this shindig?"

Arizona started kissing along her neck. "Depends."

"What?" she asked sharply.

"Are you going to let me finish what I started a few minutes ago or not?" She dragged Callie's earlobe lightly through her teeth. Callie nodded wordlessly raking her nails over the peds surgeon's back. "Then you've got yourself a date." After that, the only sounds heard were breathless frantic moans and cries of ecstasy.

************SATURDAY NIGHT, MEREDITH'S HOUSE***********
The wedding between Derek Shepherd and Meredith Grey was a small, intimate affair with only close friends in attendance. Most people were coupled off. Bailey and Eli. Lexie and Jackson. Cristina and Owen, though they seemed to barely be speaking to one another. Teddy and Henry. Callie and Arizona. Even though Mark and April were there by themselves, they seemed paired by being the only two singles. Alex had been invited but said a Shepherd-Grey wedding was too painful of a reminder of what he'd had with Izzie and volunteered to be on-call during the ceremony.

Meredith and Derek were having the wedding that they wanted this time. Not some fancy shmancy thing with poofy dresses and morningtails. Simple. Derek was wearing his navy blue attending scrubs, while Meredith still wore her light blue resident scrubs. Somehow, they'd even managed to scrounge up a pair of black scrubs for the minister who was marrying them. Their guests were in various spots of Meredith's living room, some standing, some sitting. Callie and Arizona were leaning against the wall in the back of the room.

"We are gathered here today to bear witness the love that bonds us all." The minister started.

Arizona reached over, grasped Callie's left hand, and pulled her closer. "I want to marry you." she whispered in the brunette's ear.

"I know. Now shush."

"These bonds are not to be entered into lightly. Therefore, if both participants are of sound and sober mind, please answer by saying 'we are'."

"We Are."

"I mean now, Calliope."

Callie fully faced Arizona. "We can't. This is THEIR day. Now be quiet." She turned her attention back to the happy couple.

"Before we continue, is there anyone here who has just cause as to why this man and this woman shall not enter into the partnership of marriage? If so, let them speak now or forever be silent."

"It'll be like the post-it marriage. I'll whisper Derek's vows, you whisper Meredith's and we'll be married. We'll do the floofy one later. What dya say?" Anticipation and excitement were written all over Arizona's features.

"Seriously?" A fervent nod. "Ok."

"Alright. Seeing no protests, we shall continue. The couple has chosen to mix traditional vows with those of their own. Derek, repeat after me. I, Derek, take thee Meredith to be my wife." Whenever Derek spoke, so Arizona whispered her own version of their vows. "Through appys and Altzheimers, through bombs and drowning, good and bad, thick and thin, no running, no hiding. This is my vow forever."

"I, Arizona, take thee Calliope to be my wife. Through gunshots and chicken pox, Mark and Malawi, good and bad, thick and thin, no running, no hiding. This is my vow forever."

"Now Meredith, repeat after me. I, Meredith, take thee Derek as my husband." As Meredith spoke her vows, Callie whispered along. "Through clinical trials and lost patients, through ex-wives and scrub nurses, good and bad, thick and thin, no running, no hiding. This is my vow forever."

"I, Callie, take thee Arizona to be my wife. Through bar bathrooms and enlistments, through chickens and Sofia, good and bad, thick and thin, no running, no hiding. This is my vow forever."

"By the state of Washington and the city of Seattle, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Derek pressed a light kiss to Meredith's lips while in the back of the room, the two ladies were doing the same. "I now present Dr.and Dr. Mrs.Derek Shepherd."

"The McDreamy's are mcmarried! About freaking time!" shouted Cristina causing the room to erupt in laughter as the happy couple strode hand in hand into the kitchen.

Callie squeezed Arizona's hand and stared intently at her wife. "I love you. Don't ever lose sight of that, ok? I may suck at showing it sometimes, but remember beneath it all, I can't live without you just as much as you can't be without me."

"I love you too, Calliope, and I'm never leaving you." She pressed a light kiss to her wife's lips.

"What having my favorite lesbians been whispering about back here?" asked Mark walking up to the couple.

Callie wrapped both of her arms around Arizona's waist from behind and rested her chin on the smaller woman's shoulder. "Exchanging vows."

"That's cool. So...wait. Seriously?" The two ladies nodded. "That's GREAT!" He engulfed the entwined couple in a massive bear hug. "It's about damn time you two got your heads outta your asses."

"God, you're such an ass, Mark, "Arizona muttered with a small laugh. "But I guess that's why we keep you around."

April walked up to the three surgeons. "What's with all the whispering?"

"Robbins and Torres did a kangaroo wedding."

"A what?" April's mind raced as she tried to come up with the correlation. Her face lit up with excitement when it clicked. "Like a kangaroo procedure in the NICU?" The others nodded with wide smiles. "That's AWESOME!"

Arizona raised her voice slightly. "Guys, this is Derek and Meredith's day. You can be happy for us when we do our own fancy shmancy wedding with the big floofy dresses. This moment was just about me and Callie. Go be happy for MerDer." She waved the resident away. "Right now, I want cake." She tugged Callie's hand toward the front door.

"Uhh, Blondie, cake's in the kitchen." Mark said, confusion evident in his voice.

Callie arched her eyebrow at Arizona who merely smirked. "OH! CAKE! Sorry, Mark, we've gotta go. She loves her cake." She hurried the blonde through the front door.

"But the cake's in the kitchen!" Mark yelled after them, still completely befuddled.
