Marsh's shop is as clean as he can make it. He does not allow the ash to build up, sweeping and dusting obsessively. The overall result is grimy, but not dirty. There are no pretensions to this place; his wares are strictly middle of the road and he has no interest in attempting to make a name for himself. She steps into the room and notices immediately what has changed.

The glyph between her eyes flares faintly.

And she swears in some foreign tongue.

Marsh was in the middle of responding to her comment from the bar when she cursed. His face stills again and he reaches to give her support, "Rider?"

She says nothing, but her expression is all irritation.

His first instinctive emotion is one of relief. She can't try to kill the Lord Ruler and - thus - can't be killed if she is intangible. In an attempt to keep this from being obvious his first comment is, "That does make things difficult."
