kitsune714 informed me that Hana Yori Dango Final: finally released a new full length trailer, and so we watched it in tandem last night and giggled/squeed through it.

So now: caps and commentary. Spoilers for the trailer, and clearly for the movie as well.

XD; ...WOW. A ship wreck? Honestly - that's a bit of a turn off, just seeing those screen caps. XD I dunno - I have to admit there were so many cheesey cliches (oxymoron!) in HYD, but I never knew they would go so far as to do LOST.

While I don't care much for Makino/Domyoji *LAWL,KNIFEFIGHT!* I like that Hanazawa comes back! I'm sure all the girls are excited for [that]

I think I'm more thrilled that you got the Flight of the Conchords reference than anything else.

And apparently, the ship wreck actually happened in the manga storyline. (I never read past four volumes in that.) I'm more of a Rui/Makino person myself, but I do love Matsujun and all his terrible hair fabulousness.

Everygirl loves Hanazawa Rui! HE PLAYS EMO VIOLIN.

XD <3 I can't believe someone else likes FotC too! I was like "haha" when I saw the title.

Yeah - I've never read the manga truthfully, it just didn't seem all that fun. But when I was watching the drama, I was like "Please get together with the nice one, please" even though we all knew that the good girls always have to go with the really bad guys. Even the ones that tell you to lick their boot.

Emo violin...and shaved apples. BEST part of the whole series was the look of pure joy and happiness on Oguri Shun's face as he grated those apples.

I am always wary of shoujo fatigue - because when it's 20+ volumes, there's bound to be some filler, you know? And truthfully, while the art did get better by the end of the series, it was one ugly looking manga to start with.

Hanazawa Rui: his secret vice: apple sauce. I kind of almost always go for the Other guy in dramas (with one exception being Hana Kimi, but it could have been my overwhelming Shun bias), but yeah, it's like the girl never goes for who you think she should go for.
