I've never thought nobuta loves shuji. I just had to say it:) I think she noticed him as best friend, but never love. i think she didn't think of love just of friendship - she isn't the one who hopes to get everything in one time. She is shy and hopeless and used to think she is not good enough to have friends. She was too scared to dream about love. But it's only my opinion at all)
your story is really great, it's colorfull. I used to imagine nobuta'd like photographing, so it was amazing to read about it in your fic.

re: her feelings for Shuji. I think that hug in that moment was Nobuta's way of offering comfort for Shuji, who hides behind his smile just as she hides behind her hair and weirdness.

I think Nobuta would love photographing just for the secret thrill of capturing people's faces on paper, the hidden moments.

i can't believe i never stumbled across this. like. ever since watching nwp for the first time my heart, like many others, always cried out for more akira/nobuta fic in the sea of shuuji/akira fic. but rewatching it this past summer made me really itch for some kind of shuuji/mariko post-ending fic and this just hit the spot. and it's your writing which makes it even better.

TBH, I not only wrote this fic for the people I namechecked, but also on the off chance that someone I had admired before would see it and respond, but she never did, and I later cooled off admiring this person, so maybe it was all meant to be. :D Much like how NWP's ending (while making me rage at some parts ...still made a perfect kind of sense, in a way. Shuji needs Akira, and Nobuta is strong now. It was nice to see a jdrama enforce that sometimes the girls don't need the boys, that they'll be fine on their own. BUT DAMN AKIRA/NOBUTA WOULD HAVE BEEN SO PERFECT, SHOW.
