Just finished watching episode 8 of Why Why Love, and am thoroughly irritated with all of the characters except for Rainie's and Kingone's and Mike's dumb best friend. Crack, your attempts at depth and character layering is only making me brush off my amateur psychiatric degree and lay into the lot of you. There's only so much damaged/daddy issues

This is such an interesting post. Loved reading it though my views on hk and wwl are reversed: I am enjoying wwl hugely, though it's by no means a brain feast but hk sort of...falls flat. It is not the difference in adaptation/source, because I was never a rabid fangirl for the manga, and hey, I adored hanadan and it was pretty different from the manga I loved. It's just...the characters don't click. Or the humor feels forced. No idea...am still watching though, so not all that disappointing though...

oh, I like WWL well enough, but I'm pretty much annoyed with all the characters except for the ones I stated. Whereas I like/love all the characters in HK (except for the St. Blossoms girls and they're really cameo fodder). :D YMMV as always.

I've been lurking around in your journal (ahaha...guiltiness), and your posts are fascinating. In the case of the Hana Kimi screencap reviews, of course, they're hilarious. No wonder people have "flocked to your LJ." Thanks, anyway, for posting so dedicatedly...your posting perseverance and intelligent snarkiness has inspired me to pay more attention to my own forlorn LJ, haha

I've only started diligently posting in this particular LJ in the past few months - I first created it for an outlet for my HP fascination (now almost completely burned out) and other fannish pursuits separate from my RL ramblings and western pop culture. And now my RL lj is like an old vacation home I haven't visited in a while, while I play around on this LJ. If only I could have some kind of happy balance....
