in a nutshell aka why I'm picking splinters out of my skin

I am kind of depressed and very FEELINGS! WHY DO I HAVE FEELINGS about an old/new development in my life and I think it's only been exacerbated by the colder weather - fall has arrived in California! I should be more excited about it because cinnamon and pumpkin spice and apple spice and basically I want to shove my face into a pile of sweaters and ( Read more... )

Ooooooh. Peace Corps. That could be cool.

The only j-drama I watched this past summer was Kurumi no Heya. In fact, it was the only drama I watched at all. And what am I planning to watch next? Looks like I will finally watch an American show, since I keep being told how great Alphas is.

I wish I could take the bus to work. The bridge from my place to the road that leads to the bus stop is dangerous for pedestrians even during the day, and there is no way I will cross it on foot at night when I get home. I don't understand why cities don't put more money into making pedestrian traffic safe.

and the more I do research about it, I think it's the next logical step for me - but I still have my one last credit card debt I need to pay off. Another year in Korea would wipe that out completely - I mean, so would a year here...if I got a car or figured out transportation and stuff. But I don't want to be here.

*sigh* There's so much urban sprawl in my state - it's not that there aren't pedestrian friendly parts, it's just that everything is so freaking far away from everything else.

He is a pleasure to watch on the television, seriously.

I also really enjoy the other lead actor - I love how soothing his voice is, and if you get him away from that hairstyle, he's also really good looking.

Ugh that hairstyle.

My favorite scenes are when those two bicker with each other. I'm only on episode 7 but so far their interactions are hilarious!

their fighting is THE BEST. More fighting like that please!

You know the characters are written and acted well when something that could be potentially cringe/eyeroll inducing if used on another drama/situation is so winningly and hilariously done

I agree with you that City Hunter kind of went into free fall around the 15th episode, but the first 14 had me so invested that I don't even care. The resolution wasn't the best, but I was still very much invested in the characters and the story ( ... )
