"Last Airbender" is definitely on my list of movies to not see. It made me sick to my stomach when I learned about the casting.

It just seems so hopelessly outdated

this thought process - how evolved are we as a society, that this can happen, still?

And even from a purely financial view point, it seems so stupid. How many movies made in the US make a profit only because of the Asian market? So how can it make good sense to change Asian characters to European?

And they do this sort of thing with female characters, too, making them into vixens rather than leaving them as the strong characters they were written as, and then wondering why women, and the guys who liked the characters as originally written, aren't interested in the film.

So much stupid, it hurts.
