Rebound ep 1

May 22, 2011 00:49

I'm really enjoying this! It's the perfect summer beach-read in jdrama form and I am on vacay atm - but I feel like I should stop, go watch Zettai Kareshi first, then come back to this so that I, too, can rejoice in Aibu Saki and Hayami Mocomichi reuniting ( Read more... )

Yeah the first episode was nice, I should watch the newest episodes too :)
But even though I am not watching each dorama every season (only nearly) I have to say it is something to see :)
Well not as must like JIN2 or BOSS2 :P

I'm on episode 3 now and they've put him in the fat suit too. It just got 1000x funnier!! I think they're cuter when they're chubby :)

BOSS 2 - THEY CUT ERIKA. I feel so betrayed!!!

Yes it is really sad they cut erika :(
Erika + Riko would be just too awesome :P

Yes with Mokomichi as "fatty" it is more fun :)

you are not missing much with the jdramas because I think most of them have fallen into the really boring formula routine - I'm not a fan of procedurals in English, so I'm not really open to watching them in other languages. It has to be a pretty special drama that tweaks that format and makes me like it - so I'm passing on Boss 2 (okay, I may watch the episode where 2PM cameo just to see WTF is with that). I want rebound to get subbed all the way before I start watching it, because I like Mokomichi and Aibu Saki (though..not really a fan of ZK), and I enjoy AS in general for being the go to girl for evil (but way more awesome) secondary girlfriend. She dissed Yamapi's character. I heartily concur! THERE SHOULD BE MORE OF THAT.

Also, Fuji is redoing Hana Kimi so they are dead to me forever, if they weren't already with the fucking awful getsus they keep on putting out.

Huh...there were feelings in this post - lots and lots of feelings. *G*

I know what you mean, I do like procedurals but they have to have great chemistry/dynamic between the leads - the first thing that comes to mind for me is Galileo, it wasn't really that original or new but I liked the main pairing and it went downhill fast for me because they kept cutting her character out to give more screen time to Galileo's old schoolchum enemies. WHY?

lol @ dissing Yamapi's character. He was a nice guy in that and I actually liked him but I just could not work up even a teeny bit of outrage over her cheating on him. I remember everyone else sharpening the knives but nada. She was just so much more interesting than he was.

Don't remind me of the getsus. I'm still frothing at the mouth over Impregnor's drama with Erika Toda. But really? Hana Kimi AGAIN?

ps. Rebound is absolutely ridiculous and not quite what I thought it would be; so I give it points for that.

I think you were a bit meh about HK calledinvain May 22 2011, 20:12:06 UTC
(which, btw, totally fine. Not everyone's cup of crazy shenanigan tea)

but yes, what with Korea pushing out *their* version sometime in summer, and now Fuji bringing HK: the new class (actually, what galls me is that the press release said it would be a new way of telling the story, which means it's not a sequel. It's just...new cast and oh god, I WANT IT TO FAIL SO HARD.) Also I don't like the Ouran live action drama announcement either. STOP MAKING MANGAS INTO LIVE ACTION, JAPAN (I'm tired! I have shoujo fatigue!)

new indicator of how awful the getsus are: their titles keep on getting longer but the plot and creativity getting shorter?

I am all aboard for ridiculousness.

Yeah, HK wasn't my thing, but even if it were I wouldn't want a remake of it by the same country not even 5 years after its release!
