That's the drawback to this drama - you can see the food but you can't eat it and it is TORTUROUS.
There really isn't very much to say when blogging Osen. It's the penultimate slice-of-life series, so to speak. If you're watching this drama, you are watching it for it's feel-good atmosphere, Aoi Yuu in yukatas and the delicious looking food. The show consistently delivers those things, so I'm never disappointed, even if yes, there is no plot to speak of.
In this episode, Osen is approached by investors who wish to develop a second branch of The Isshouan in the metropolis. Yocchan and the other young apprentices are pretty excited at the prospect of another restaurant, but the head chef and Osen herself are resistant to the idea. Of note, episode four features:
Osen burning up (with fever, you pervs). I think I died of cute when she stood behind the door and asked "Yocchan-san" to help her in that little sick voice and he was like "SIGH". Whatever, Yocchan, you'll succumb sooner or later.
Yocchan carrying feverish Osen to her room twice, plus cracks about Osen's alcoholism even though she is a sake master who would never get a hangover.
Yocchan asking Osen out on a secret date that isn't a secret date, after all. God, you guys - so CUTE. She got all dolled up, and the umbrella! Look at how happy she is! And the other apprentice crashing the date on his bike, HAHAHAHA. Damnit Yocchan, stop getting her hopes up for nothing! (Don't you love her gardening gear? Those are excellent pantaloons.)
Osen's AMAZING WARDROBE, especially her hair ornaments! My favourite in this episode is the black and white striped yukata with the pink bow (in the caps above when Yocchan is carrying her). WANT. Sadly I couldn't get a cap of her hair in the Sukiyaki scene, the bronze hairpiece was gorgeous.
FOOD food food food food alksdjfaslkhghhhh
I love doing picspams of this show but jesus it takes FOREVER to do because I have to resize and edit the caps and make them pretty and everything. I am to be lavished with praise now. Anyway, as with all my Osen posts, the moral of the story is OSEN = PRETTY.
