Everybody should watch it - it's like The X-Files meets Dr Who, minus the camp and with wacky small town humour thrown in. The characters are so much fun and every episode in season 1 (so far) is great ( Read more... )

I watched the pilot ages ago when it leaked, and always intended to pick it up once it finished airing, but I kept forgetting. Will start it again once I finish with Eureka :)

Haha... I've seen both! Well, not S3 of VM (I prefer to believe it ends after S1) or the latest SPN season (I'll catch up on this soon, too, hopefully).

S3 of VM is much better than Season 2, if that helps?

Once, I managed to explain to my nubile young brother what 'slash' and 'tentacle rape' were in the space of 5 minutes.

I don't think his life has been the same ever since.

But that, really, is what Snape/Giant Squid is for, is it not?

Also: Bears. Beets. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. And I rec this as someone not traditionally big on the sci-fi spaceshippish genre. It is like awesome sauce on a succulent, flame-grilled beef patty of win.

He hasn't come down yet so I assume he is learning about plant fungi now... well, at least one of us can keep their innocence intact.
