Of all the fics I've read that came out after Conspiracy, I have to say that this was the one that resonated the most with me.
I guess I'm in more of an angsty mood, especially after that first Chlollie scene in last night's ep, but I really hope you do continue with this story!
wow, even though this is about a darker Chloe, I still love it. I mean lets face it, everyone has a light and dark place inside them. Even Clark and Oliver, and there is no reason Chloe shouldn't have one and struggle with it as well. I mean we all know Chloe will do everything she can to protect those she loves and of course, she loves her unborn child.
I like that Chloe crossed that line, murdering someone, to protect her unborn child. Chloe did what she had to do.
I hope you write a sequel to this, because I feel that there are some unanswered questions. Like what excatly does Tess threaten Chloe and her unborn child with, how will Oliver and the rest of the JLA react when they discover she left. I would love to see a scene where they find her and discover her pregnancy and get her to come back home. Or Oliver gets her to move to Star City and make it her new home.
Either way I would love a follow up to answer all the little pesky questions. Other than that, I totally loved it!
Thanks for your comment. I was a bit worried about writing this darker Chloe. My stories are not usually this dark, but I guess Conspiracy did it to me. While she was darker I also wanted to redeem her a bit, give her a reason.
As for sequel I've considered it. Nothing lengthy, maybe two or three stand alones follow ups I guess. I'd like to explore Clark and mostly Oliver's reaction, because their reactions would be lacking the input of Chloe's pregnancy. Then I'd even like to write another where Oliver and Chloe meet up again, maybe not under the best circumstances. I don't think any of the follow ups would be fluffy, but if I did it I would definately end it on a happier note. I never end a story that is not on a happy ending. :)
Please tell me there's a part 2 that involves Chloe changing her name to Hawke, having a baby boy named Connor, and reuniting with his father.
You know, I'm not surprised last night's ep inspired so many fix-it fics. I was getting all good and ready to see your version of Chloe leaving for good because she got tired of being seen as the League's black sheep. So that curveball you threw really got me! And I loved it! Mama bear Chloe taking care of business is awesome. Kudos for that twist!
Painful, yet an honest version of what Chloe would see as the right path to choose. A really tragic place to end yet hopeful for the future. One where she'll get to start over leaving a dark path behind and walk into the light. It's so canon of her to be the one taking the brunt of anything, making the impossible choices to help the heroes she loves. Great job.

I can honestly see SVChloe going his route, but better because we know if the writers tried to pull it off they would only mess it up.
