1. What colors do you think of when I say "winter"? a silvery very lightblue (does that make sense?)

2. What is your favorite winter bird? crows

3. Have you ever done a "winter" specific quilt/project? haven't been quilting much, but yes, my first finished project: I called it Scottish Winter

4. Do you get snow where you live? usually yes, but not ( Read more... )

#1. Yes, it does. :)
#2. lol! I nearly said crows but I see them a lot around here all the year so I don't think of them specifically as winter birds.
#3. That is very pretty--those colours appeal to me a lot.

Thank you very much. Yes, I like the colours too - although the winter I remember from the mountains where I come from was more an icy cold blue. Love the picture on your own journal on top :)

Well, I think that the crows - even though they are probably here too all the year - just don't get as much attention as in winter when most other birds are gone. :)

Hee! Thanks. :) I changed to the frosty twig after taking down the seasonal layout for December as I'm not ready for anything spring-like yet! I had the crow layout before that. lol

I quite like crows. :)

Icy cold blue mountains suggests the Scandinavian countries or parts of Canada to me. Somewhere that quilts are muchly appreciated anyway!

:) Yes, I can't quite emphasize with the people associating them with death and depression. I find them quite funny.

Well, I live in the Northeast of Germany - "close" to Scandinavia. However, the mountains I refer to are the Ore Mountains in Saxony (where all the Christmas stuff like Nutcrackers, stars, etc. come from). And we drove quite often to the Giant Mountains (between Czech and Poland). They have subpolar climate and are covered with huge amounts of snow in winter normally (have a look). Unfortunately that means that going skiing there is becoming increasingly expensive as the Western Europeans (sorry!) get to know about this area. :|
