Oh! I look forward to what you think of The Host. Haven't read it, but when I first heard about it, it sounded interesting, but this is Stephenie Meyer we're talking about...

Yeah, and my dislike for Stephenie Meyer as a person just keeps growing and growing. That's why I'm reading THE HOST instead of the rest of the TWILIGHT series, even though I've got it. Plus, THE HOST is adult SF, and since it's a woman writing SF, you know I'm obligated to read it. :)

Her prose does read fast, and I've got the weekend. We'll see. :)

Scalzi was at Dragoncon a couple of weeks ago and read the first chapter to the sequel; he had us all in stitches. I happened to see Android's Dream in the library earlier this week and checked it out and read the first chapter over lunch; it was just as funny, but I'm waiting till after I finish Name of the Wind to read the whole thing. Good to know the rest is going to be just as well done.

Oh, I absolutely LOVED The Name of the Wind. Can't wait to hear what you think of it! :)

And the Scalzi too! Have you read any of this other work? OLD MAN'S WAR is fantastic.

I really liked this one too - I've liked all his stuff. I'm waiting on my library to finish processing _Zoe's Tale_ so I can get it :) I love his blog too; will probably end up getting _Your Hate Mail Will Be Graded_.
