"Maledicte" on my short list of books I've read more than twice. Creepy writing is not one of my better points as a writer, so I hope to learn by osmosis. The jumping rope poem was a great touch... sometimes it is the little things that count.

This book has been on my radar screen for a while but I haven't gotten my hands on it yet...maybe I'll manage this month :)

BTW, Redemption in Indigo is going to be my next read when I finish my current one :)

Her Lyn Benedict novels are good, gritty urban fantasy. The urban fantasy has a faster, more unrelenting pace than "Maledicte," because "Mal" takes more time to linger over emotions and cool descriptions.

I'm sorry that her Shadows Inquiry series is over, but it was definitely good stuff. :)
