The only one of Cherie Priest's books I've read is Boneshaker, and I didn't care for it. The writing was fine and the characterization was well done but I just couldn't buy into the world that she'd set up. Maybe I should give the series another try.
Dreadnought is definitely a better book, and it gets the reader out of Seattle. However, if you'd rather try something different by Priest, I'd recommend her Eden Moore trilogy, starting with Four and Twenty Blackbirds. :)
So far in this series, I've only read Boneshaker. I have to say, I loved it, and it's only lack of time and money that has kept me from catching up with the rest of the series. Hopefully, I'll be able to get around to Clementine at least before the end of the year.
