Five or six books planned in the series? Awesome! I mean, I figured from the ending there'd be more. In fact I suppose I should be unhappy that there will only be 5 or 6. But instead I am ecstatic that there will definitely be at least 2 more. Yay!!!
I often hate present tense, and I thought the first page of Sandman Slim was confusing, so I didn't read it for ages, until I noticed Holly Black and Cory Doctorow praising it on the cover and thought, now that's an unusual combination. I looked at the first page, still found it confusing, and skipped to page 2. Then I was hooked. Stark's narrative voice is the awesomest piece of awesome I have seen in a long time. :D
Currently reading Butcher Bird, which has the same very cool imagination but is not as crazy fun to me.
I was particularly pleased when I read Aloha From Hell that Hell wasn't too garish or material or immaterial or otherwise badly done. Not too many writers can do divine magicky things believably.
I may be wrong about the number of books planned, and that may be different than the number of books there's a contract for, you know? But it's definitely not over, which is the important part! :)
