I don't know when I'll get around to reading them (I've got the two requested on Paperback Swap), but when I do, I'll try to go in with an open mind, just in case. ;) But it's interesting to note what you said about book three... that's the only one Tor hasn't re-released in mass market.
Tor's decision not to release a MMPB of Half a Crown has nothing to do with whether I screwed up the end.
Oh, I didn't mean to imply the sales had to do with your ability. I've seen it happen in the past where the sales decline just enough that the publisher (Tor in every case) decides not to put the final installment in MMPB, and I definitely know it's all about how previous volumes sell! Of course, I don't always like the decision, especially if I'm collecting said series in mass market (ah, The Long Price Quartet!), but I know the decision is based on sales. Now whether or not those sales has to do with how happy or unhappy people are with the previous installments, that's a whole other complicated beast! I say it has more to do with the marketing of the book, but that's me. :)
