I'd like to write that one myself. :) I've always thought it'd be a neat exercise to take a single idea and give it to a room full of writers just to see how DIFFERENT the stories would end up. Actually, they did that in the September 2006 issue of F&SF. Ellison had a story idea he could never spin into a tale, and called Van Gelder to issue a challenge. The results were pretty interesting, actually. :)

I haven't seen that issue yet...but then again, I've got a lot of catching up to do all around in the Big Three!
