I keep forgetting about Steel, but that's the one that worries me a bit. :) Hopefully, I'll be pleased with how it all turns out!

I'm interested in this from the sheer "fantastical representation of a mundane thing not usually given to fantastical representation" angle. I just don't think we see enough of that ( ... )

We catch real life bad guys ALL THE TIME for tax evasion (lots of mafia types went down for tax fraud, and not for all the murders)

Al Capone being a notable example. :)

That quote reminds me of that bit from Harry Potter where Neville talks about his uncle dangling him out of a window to try to scare a bit of magic out of him. It sounds funny until you actually start thinking about it.

Well I might give Vaughn another chance. I wasn't crazy about Voices of Dragons, but this one definitely sounds interesting. LOVE the cover! :)
