I heard about this book on NPR. I cracked up when I realized he was Stephen King's son.

Yeah, I'd started reading his stuff before I ever knew who his dad was. But it's nice knowing: the dedication to HEART-SHAPED BOX is particularly touching, when you know who his dad is!

One good difference between them: Hill isn't nearly as verbose!

What's next on your TBR? I've been cheating with mine a bit and not following my lists appropriately, but oh well! :) At least I'm still using lists!

Well, OLD MAN'S WAR is a VERY fast read, if you're looking for that (I tend to do that, when picking my order, especially after I read books that take a while). Looking forward to some of these other reviews though!

Finally something I've read recently enough to comment on :)
As a fan, I've got to agree with your assessment pretty much spot on. I also loved the little textual 'shout outs' to Carrie and his own Heart Shaped Box.
