Poll: Monthly Book Challenges

Last week, I got a crazy idea. You've noticed reviews in the past where I talk about reading challenges with various friends of mine (emerald_ibis and digitalclone). Reading challenges, or even dares, are a fun thing to do, and it occurred to me if I wanted to give all of you something REALLY interactive, why not have a reading challenge/dare/book club at calico_reactionI've thought ( Read more... )

If you are short of book ideas for Option #2, I wonder if browsing themed lists like what Goodreads and Amazon have would be of benefit?

That's where all of you will come in handy. :) If we do option two, I'll announce the theme or whatever early in the month so you all can bring me suggestions you're interested in. Then I'll post the poll at the end of the month, and then the winner is the read for the following month. If that makes any sense at all. :)

I'd be interested in any book challenge, but alas, I'm a student, so I'm broke, so getting most paperbacks from the library will be on a chance-by-chance basis (they don't catalog them). :(

You'd definitely be at the mercy of your local library, but I wouldn't encourage people to buy the books unless they wanted to. The cheaper, the better, and nothing says cheap like free! :) Participate when you can, and when you can't, it's okay. :)
