I hadn't heard this version before - it's excellent! In some ways, I prefer it to the original - the lyrics come through more clearly.
Soundtrack for when I get the TARDIS sorted to rescue the Darling… ;-D

I posted thinking that some would get the hump as it was not Bowie - I love Bowie, but I adore Dave Gahan and I think his rendition sounded sincere :-)

I love Bowie, but sometimes a good cover version can bring out things that the original doesn't. Gahan has better diction.
