I was surprised, but pleased, to see that book with a high nomination count! I've read Slow River and really enjoyed it.

Slow River is wonderful. I was planning on reading Ammonite this year anyway, so it'd be GREAT if it was the selection!

(Alas, it appears to be losing to Neil Gaiman at the moment. . . what is with all the men this year? :P)

*I* voted that way - but i've already read Anansi Boy's [multiple times] and nothing else. so i'm REALLY hoping something else will be picked - i don't *mind* re-reading, but... and honestly, Ammonite sounds cool enough i'm gonna try and find it anyway.

and i'd gladly read either of the other 2. :)
