Looks like I needed 2 hoses replaced that are located above the fuel tank which required the fuel tank to be dropped to access them. My catalytic converted is indeed bad and needs to be replaced. I have a bad oxygen sensor that needs replacing and to top it all off I need new brake pads and rotors! This is in addition to getting it to pass smog. ( Read more... )

Yikes that is pricey, I get stung alot getting my alfa serviced too :/ Its due for one too!

The hoses, sensor, catalytic converter I wouldn't have known about until I took my vehicle in to get the smog test. The brakes and rotors are my own fault for not paying closer attention to them. Replacing the brake pads would have been much less if I got to them earlier and saved the rotors from wear.

Sucks, but the work needs to be done. Well, at least I know my Jeep will be more than ready to make the trip to San Jose next January!

Yeha I think i have left a few things to go bad on my car, the engine sounds like a diesel now when I start her up! Bleh. I love my lil italian lady thooo! :p

Hmm are you interested in helping get a mutant vehicle together for burning man next year? We could look into ways of making it happen, but I'd need someone stateside to help...probably several people! Not sure how viable it is really...

Ohh! and you can commission her for one im sure...they are pretty awesome.

I'm always interested in doing a fun project, but I have no idea how to go about this. I'm not mechanically inclined and well, it would require a vehicle to start with. If it is feasible and can be done I'll see what I can do to contribute to the madness.

As far as an origami avatar, she did those once in her journal and then again as an auction. I don't believe she's doing them currently at the moment. I just have to wait and see if she will open those types of icons for commissions again.
