UNICEF 2009
It's that time of year again, Sunday was Sakura Group's annual charity benefit concert for UNICEF :) It went very well! I brought my new camera along to try and get some good pictures, the lighting was pretty low so most of the pictures came out blurry, but these are the better ones. I've had sort of similar experiences with the Chinese non-English speaking mothers of some of my students. It's never the fathers though. I suspect when that happens it's because the woman is only here for her husband, and has managed to stay mostly in Chinese immigrant communities. So even though they're living in the US they manage to avoid all the English speakers.
