Mike as Janeway, GENIUS. Voyager was easily the worst of the Star Trek series. They could have done so much with it too. *shakes head sadly*

Oh MST3K, how we miss you. At least there's Rifftrax!

youtube, weekend randomness, videos

Hehe and I loved Dark Knight so uh...we're even? ;)

Seriously though, I love Star Trek, and Next Generation and Deep Space Nine were so awesome, I was really excited for Voyager. Like wow they'll be lost in the Delta Quadrant so we can meet a bunch of new aliens and there won't be a Federation to bail them out of trouble? Sweet! Draaaaama! But it just...ugh. I mean they had a good episode here and there, but I really didn't think it was written nearly as well as series they'd done before. The Doctor's a cool character (yaaaaay Robert Picardo!) and I like Neelix a lot, but I just couldn't connect with the rest of the characters, especially Janeway. And it's too bad, because it was really nice to have a female captain for a change.

Haha and yes, she did seem to have bipolar ;)

Well the first time I saw Dark Knight I was a little confused too, but I blame that mostly on seeing it at the drive-in (we were a bit far from the screen, easy to miss stuff) and we had to little boys romping around in the backseat playing with their glowsticks and constantly distracting us ("Jess, look out the window it's my glowy fish! Look what I can do!" *wave wave* Me: Yes sweetie, trying to watch a movie here, do you mind?)

I watched again it a regular theater the next day and picked up a lot more. The plot is pretty intricate, they make you pay close attention in order to follow it, so I can see how the editing jarred with some people. I'm a long-time fan of Batman though and thematically and character-wise, they really nailed it this time around.
