Today was terrible. Mom had a dental appointment and she was so weak I used the wheelchair to get her to and from the car. That seemed to be a milestone and made me feel bad. Mom has started having trouble swallowing again. Her follow up with the GI Dr is Friday. She has an appointment with the dentist tomorrow. I start work tomorrow also. We have a nice lady who mom knows coming in and staying from 3pm to 9pm. This helps with her nervousness and loneliness and helps me also. Mom goes tomorrow for a gastroscopy of her esophagus to see what's causing her difficulty in swallowing. She's also having more problems breathing.

I'm here at Mom's waiting to give her 10:00pm breathing treatment. Yesterday was a bad day for her. Very weak and shaky. I spent the night. She was better today but is steadily declining which is to be expected. She has an appointment with a GI Dr. Tuesday to see about her swallowing problem. Got a little rain shower today but nothing major. We are drying out after the floods. Several people in Walters had their homes flooded. To get to town we had to drive a mile east and then head south to hit the highway. I was fixing dinner for everyone last night. Jason's kids are here and Cayla & Kent's bunch were coming. Boy, did we get the rain today! A low pressure decided to sit here for a long time. We got 5 inches of rain in a short time. They shut down parts of the highway that runs through town and Ed couldn't get back home for a while. Mom had a swallow test on the neck area today. Everything looked ok and no danger of her getting stuff into her trachea. So that means the food is getting hung up down lower and that means another test. She has been eating better lately tho and seems to be holding steady. Not much change.
