When measuring the diameter, do you use the cooking area base or the top ? Mine is 22cm at the base but 28cm across the top. Hmm.

Need to replace mine and would preferably like one that will fit the glass lid I have.

In other news: I received my Memorandum of Sale today :-) I have something on paper that says I've almost bought a house! Woot!

The top I think, but take a tape measure or appropriate length of string out with you when you shop for the new base?

Base, I think. It's base for cake tins.
