So since I've decided to pack up and move to Philadelphia and live a life of relative poverty and intense study, I've been looking for apartments online. Which I know, is not the ideal way to find a place, but it's what I've got for now. I really want a nice, quiet, relatively cheap place. A tall order

That is pretty! And wow is it cheap. Maybe I'm just too used to Bay Area rents, but it seems like such a good price.

No, it's cheap for the area. But it's income-dependent. So I probably won't qualify now. But I probably will after a year in grad school.

Hey, would you like me to ask my friend who lives in Philly to drop by your LJ some time this week if she can and give you neighborhood suggestions?

Right now I'm focusing on University City because it's the area I'm most familiar with, but I'm open to other suggestions. I've always found Philly pretty easy to get around, so if you have other ideas, I'd love them! :)
