Just be glad she's not running around while you're trying to sleep. Mine do that.

She does, but she's so small it basically just amounts to 'pattapattapatta' and the jingle of her collar. It's when she scuttles around under the bed that wakes me up.

As for your front door, can you get something like this? http://amzn.com/B00078ZJPG
If you worry about your cat not getting enough attention, the solution is to get a second cat--they keep each other company. That's why even though it was twice the cost, Doug and I got _two_ cats instead of one.

Oh! There was one on the inside of the door when I moved in, but it's not as secure as that is. I'll have to look when I have time this week. I was also thinking maybe the weather stripping stuff that goes on the inside of doors, too, if that bottom deal doesn't work.
If I had a bigger space, I'd probably just do that, but with a one-bedroom apartment, I don't really want them both ripping around, you know? As long as I'm around, she seems to be good. It's just the days when I'm working and I'm gone for twelve hours or more. :/

It's not earthworms or anything, it's like. Little larvae type worms that follow with tiny black beetles, I think. There's not a huge amount of them. I just find one now and again when the weather goes hot/cold and the like. Still. /shudder

... Yeah, they do sleep that much. Bastards. It must be nice to be a cat.
