She reaches for the bottle, though, even if sitting up isn't on the priority list right now. She flops over the other way, poking her head out from the wrappings to look at him. "Let's negotiate," she mumbles through a grin.

"Besides, I'm rather sure that counts. I'm bending the laws of physics to get you a bottle of water. That's not one you see everyday, I think it's an exception."

Mara's face works up an uncomfortable smirk. It's weird to hear your date refer to people making them hungry. It's gotta be just as much for him. She sits up a little herself but doesn't open distance, really. "I'm not afraid of you," she says plainly.

She looks at him, right at him. It's like everytime but this time with intent. Mara's never averted his stare and she never will, and she doesn't expect him to dodge her, either. They're not serious enough to fib to each other. "She's terrified of you, isn't she? That's why you act like you don't care one minute, and then you're King High Freak the next."
