Evan is completely worn out from Frank trying to get him back in skating shape after DWTS. It must be the sleepiness that's messing with his head, making Johnny look like a super hot chick.

Your choice how long it takes Evan to realize Johnny is a dude (and Johnny!).

Of course I think of this after I post! Evan could even know it's Johnny from the beginning, but keep forgetting as his brain shuts down, so he has to keep shaking himself out of it and reminding himself who he's talking to.

Kind of a twist on the "Evan hit it and quit it" theory on the rivalry. Evan and Johnny did hook up, but Evan didn't like it at all. It was so bad that in private Evan told Johnny it's what makes him so sure he's the great-hetero-hope for figure skating.

This! Can you imagine Johnny's reaction to someone thinking he's bad in bed? So bad the guy swore off an entire gender?

Are you looking for Johnny and Evan to end up together, for Evan to be definitely straight, or for Evan to just have not liked sex with Johnny?

Stephane slips up and tells Evan about Johnny's massive crush on him. Evan is freaked out. In the end, turns out Johnny didn't have a crush, Stephane had just misunderstood.

Johnny is injured or brainwashed and he believes he’s a serial killer, Evan has to convince him he’s wrong. (Inspired by that scene in Torchwood where Adam makes Ianto think he’s killed all these girls, and Jack comforts him.)
