Just popping in to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to anyone reading this. I might not spend much time on LJ anymore but it will always hold a special place in my heart and, even though I may only post once a year, I could never leave entirely. Have a great day, week, and year, friends.

I don't half miss LJ - no social media like it for connecting. xx

Yep. I know there were valid reasons for leaving LJ but it really was the best for forming friendships and communities. It’s such a simple request to want to see posts in chronological order but even that’s too much for other sites.

Yes! That's what really pees me off. I go to find something and it's gor

And just a thought about us all leaving LJ in a panic. I now wonder if it was necessary. Maybe it's my age but I've seen so many instances of "Oh, this is awful, we must do this!" so we all do it and then it turns out it was all an overreaction...

It’s been so long since strikethrough and boldthrough that I don’t remember all the details but I can understand why people didn’t want to stay on a site where they could potentially have their entire LJ presence deleted. That being said, I don’t think *that* many people had their journals deleted and I can’t recall any similar incidents since then.

Plus, one thing strikethrough has done is solidify the belief that some tropes are “problematic”and you are a bad person if you like them and I have NO time for fandom’s purity culture.
