I didn't spot Amy's name on the book either the first time.
It is A REAL BOOK, and you can buy it (here, for Kindle) and it is rather superb. Very Children's Adventure, very Amy.)

And I don't imagine tomorrow's ep is going to make me want to smack him with a custard pie when he tells Clara that of course Amy would know.
*gigglesnort* ETA: Mind you, the dynamic is sort of the same Let me explain: Martha thought the Doctor was very keen on her (what with snogging her and all, and figures he is *saying* that he's not interested), and only belatedly realised that she was Rebound Girl. Clara is also aware that the Doctor is rather keen (since he, well turns up on her doorstep and is terribly eager for her to come with him) - but the difference is that he really IS keen. Not in that sense, but he is genuinely intrigued by her. /ramble, I am tired

I'll have to look the actress up, but she made me think of an evil!JudiDench!M.
She is Celia Imrie, and awesome.

And creepy as the wi-fi thing was, there was a distinct lack of yeti.It is my ( ... )

I still think it's hilarious how much is a deconstruction of Everything RTD Did Wrong re companions. Eleven might be emo, but he does it to either friends who understand and are willing to look after/tolerate it and have their own lives and support systems so no dependence on his for getting home and all that (Vastra, Jenny, Strax) or in his own bloody time. Which, yes, excellent. GOOD CHOICE. He never does it at the New Companion except as a rather weak initial brush-off. And I don't imagine tomorrow's ep is going to make me want to smack him with a custard pie when he tells Clara that of course Amy would know.

THIS! Times a million.

Also, Celia Imre is made of brilliance. I would recommend Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Calendar Girls and the sitcom After You've Gone and Kingdom (Stephen Fry series) as starters. She never gives a bad performance. I ♥ her.

You're not alone in being slow on the uptake. it took me a while to suss the title out.

I too am awaiting the inevitable arrival of the silly fluffy Yeti.

This is making me THE MOST HAPPY. What can I say, I like it when the Doctor likes his Companions and treats them well instead of going on about how They Aren't That One Person She Was So Much Better.
