Torchwood Miracle Day episode 3

I wish there wasn't a different cut for US and UK telly. I feel like I might be MISSING OUT by not seeing both. I'm not going to see both, obviously. I might be enjoying the series, but I'm not silly.

Gwen did a really smashing kick at the end of episode two. I feel that should be noted.

So it's a worldwide crisis affecting the whole human race that they're trying to solve and Jack's gone off to have a quick shag in a club? I just...yeah. Okay then.

I KNOW. When I need rescued from aliens can I have Gwen come save me, please? Gwen is lovely, and shippable with Esther as well as many other people, everyone should have a Gwen.

I just...I don't understand what that was. Attempted fanservice? It just seemed so weirdly out of the blue...possibly a SUBTLE ATTEMPT to illustrate the competence level of Torchwood was my most generous interpretation.

Gwen should be on ALL THE TEAMS. In my head she is like the Welsh Ellen Ripley.

I think it's just "Look, see, Jack is still not straight, can you please stop accusing me of killing Ianto to pander to American homophobes?"

I need to catch up on this. Too much going on this summer.

It's not too shabby so far. Definitely worth a watch, I think.

I bet there will be scenes without Gwen soon. I WILL JUDGE THOSE SCENES HARSHLY.

This is one of the fundamental problems with "Miracle Day": there are scenes without Gwen. I liked her just fine in previous seasons, but Eve Myles is *so* good in this one.

See, I thought she was getting better. But I wasn't sure if my SLIGHT LOVE was influencing that view a bit or no.

LOL. I feel the same. :) Although this time round all they cut were the sex scenes, so to be honest I'm wondering what we go that they didn't...

It's his completely rubbish way of trying to deal with the fact that he is now mortal. It's weird. I can see what the show is trying to do, but I can't really connect. Ah well, at least they're pretty. ;)

Those sex scenes could have VITAL PLOT DETAILS. Possibly.

I can see what the show is trying to do, but I can't really connect.

Aye, on the telly it just seemed so out of the blue and pasted on.

Bill Pullman has tots ruined Independence Day for me.

Yeah, that is basically what I told my husband. Ugh.
