Very interesting. To be honest, I don't think I understand exactly what's going on, but I still really enjoyed the fic. And I guess that's part of the story, because River doesn't always know exactly who she is, right? I love how it was written, and River's character is definitely there. You've given the reader a lot to mull over. Good job. :)

There are so many bits I'd like to quote back as passages I really liked, but I'd end up quoting a good portion of it back to you, so I'd better not. XD

The idea was that River or the Doctor or both are fictional characters, both to us and within their own universe. But I was also being A Bit Pretentious, heh.

Rereading a couple of times, I really don't think I'd be surprised if this were close to the spirit and feel of whatever's coming up on the show. I love this quite a lot.
