So, I was randomly looking at Shakespeare sonnets (just don't ask, just really don't) and I find this one - I remember it being used in the context of a Spooks episode as one of the MI5 spooks had it quoted to then by their non-MI5 boyfriend. So my mind immediately jumps to Sam.

This is Shesmetet here from GW, I agree with holdouttrout, it's nice to see Pete's point of view on his relationship with Sam, and very well written too.

this is ccdsah from GW and it's really nice to read a fic where Pete isn't bashed but treated like a man who just didn't get Sam

That was great writing. I loved the sonnet you used, and how beautifully it was written.
Personally I see this as Pete, and it was nice not to see him written as a total idiot, or a jerk, but a human.
